Welcome to Carsington Fields Caravan Park

A delightful, landscaped, spacious park offering grass pitches and hardstanding pitches for touring caravans, motorhomes, campervans and some tents. Situated in the Derbyshire Dales, only 400 yards from Carsington Water reservoir and less than 5 miles from the Peak District National Park.

We, Judy and Pete purchased the land in May 1993, that’s when Carsington Fields life began, after many years of hard work, passion, love and pride we have created the caravan park we have today.
Carsington Fields is a family run business and we specialise in a quiet, peaceful, relaxing place to stay. Please see our site guidelines.

Look out for our fish and ducks in our large (fenced off) pond, sorry no fishing.

We also have 4 happy resident Pygmy goats, Cara, Van, Cam and Ping. Check out our cheerful chickens; these ladies lay tasty eggs for you to buy.

There are plenty of grass areas for the children to play.

We are ideally located very near to the beautiful Carsington Water reservoir, with easy access to a lot of local attractions, plenty of places to eat and drink, the picturesque market town of Ashbourne is only 5 miles away.

We stayed here this weekend for our children's first night camping and it was absolutely brilliant even with unpredictable weather! It is such a beautiful, spacious campsite. We had a lovely windy walk to the visors centre and back then enjoyed an evening dog walk near the chickens! The kids absolutely loved seeing the goats and ducks around the campsite! The owner was so helpful and friendly, first with us not having a working air pump when we first arrived and then with a dead car battery the following morning😬 I will definitely be recommending to friends and family😊

Just had a 5 night stay here in our caravan. It is just as promised a beautiful, clean, peaceful place to be! Owners are so friendly and helpful. Showers are fab, toilet block is always clean. The resident goats are fascinating to watch as they roam around the site - they don't eat the tents! Very dog friendly, a large field just for walking them and poo bins provided! Very close to Carsington Waters which are all worth a visit, great for cycling and walking and ice cream at the café!

We had a fantastic hard standing pitch for our tent in typical British Spring wet and windy conditions.
The pitch and site is well maintained, clean and tidy. The little shop had a great supply of essentials.
We made the most of the easy access from the site to Carsington Waters via the road side verge for a bike ride and play. Thank You All x

We have just returned from a 2night stay at Carsington Fields caravan park. The booking process was quick and easy and the welcome was warm and friendly. The pitches are spacious and the facilities are immaculate . We spent the Day walking around Carsington Reservoir just a short distance away . There are three carparks, the main one based infront of an excellent visitors center with a restaurant and a cafe. The full walk around is scenic and there are plenty of benches along the way to stop and admire the views. We also had an evening meal at the Knockerdown. Lovely staff and the food was excellent. This is a beautifully run campsite, Judy, Pete and all the staff make sure you have everything you need with a shop on site for essentials. We would highly recommend a stay here . Thank you Carsington Fields you ticked every box for us. We were even blessed with glorious sunshine in March what a bonus. Will definitely return.

Fabulous site that hosted our team to do the big Tommy sleep out. I’ve not commented on rooms due to us camping in tents.Judy was very helpful and friendly and was even happy to take a few photos for us. Very clean toilet and shower facilities and added bonus of a few little goats.

First visit to this site and absolutely top class camp with superb facilities including bathrooms etc, the welcome from the roaming goats amazing, but the staff with there brilliant customer service was excellent.

As you may know Derbyshire, the Peak District and Derbyshire dales have incredible walking spots all over, many being able to get to straight from the site.
